With his list trimming down, Alexander hopes to be close to a decision.
He updated the latest after a 7 on 7 tournament with GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I went to a 7 on 7 tournament with my teammates, but I actually didn't participate because I had a little hip injury," he said. "My team did well though, we took second.
"We have a huge tournament next week in Hoover and I wanted to be fully healthy for that, so I sat this one out."
Camps have not been a big part of Alexander's summer, he's only been to one at Mississippi State.
The team that has really stood out to him is the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss.
"The coaches are telling me how much they want me and about how I am their guy," he said. "They told me I'm their number one defensive back on their board."
Alexander also said the feeling is mutual.
"I really love Southern Miss, they are my leader right now," he said. "I'm not coming down to the camp but I'm going to bring my family down for an unofficial visit.
"Just the way they treat me and the relationship I have with the coaching staff. I can't explain it, I just love the atmosphere there."
Quade Alexander is being recruited by Coach Thacker, the safeties coach at Southern Miss.
Stay tuned for the latest on the talented defensive back as he nears his decision.
