2014 C.J. Anderson Recruiting Update

2014 Whitehaven (Memphis) High School guard/forward C.J. Anderson talks about how his recruitment is going.

  • Anderson talked about what he tries to bring to his team each time he walks onto the court.

    "I like to play point guard and get my entire team involved," said Anderson. "I just want to do whatever it takes to win."

    He talked a little more in detail about his offensive and defensive games.

    "Offensively, I would say I'm more aggressive on the attack. If I don't have the shot, I'll look for the open man. On defense, I feel I'm a defensive stopper. I want to guard the best player."

    Several colleges are showing interest in the talented point guard.

    "I'm receiving interest right now from Miami, MTSU, UMass, Mississippi State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Kansas State and VCU."

    He has several offers already on the books.

    "I have offers from VCU, UMass, Mississippi State, Auburn, MTSU and Ole Miss," said Anderson.

    He recently attended a camp at Mississippi State. He provided his thoughts about MSU.

    "I really think Mississippi State (would be) a really good school for me to come too, especially due to it being so close to my home," said Anderson. "I think it would be a great experience to come to Mississippi State because they were one of the first ones to recruit me."
