Strickland Set To Visit

The Eagles have landed a few in-state players, and hope to see that trend continue as they go through the recruiting process. Brandon DE Kyle Strickland will be one to watch throughout, and he took a few minutes to talk with GoldenEaglePride.com about his recruitment.

Kyle Strickland is a 6'5 defensive end with a load of potential. The Brandon, MS, product is looking to have a huge senior season, and he's working hard to prepare for it.

"Things have been going well this summer," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.

"I'm working hard trying to get ready for my senior season. It has mostly been taking in camps and working out three times a week with my teammates.

"I'm looking to get bigger and faster before my senior season."

Right now, Strickland is hearing from a variety of schools, and he holds an offer from ULL.

"The Cajuns have offered me, but I'm hearing from a bunch of different programs," he said.

"Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, , South Alabama, ULL, and Louisiana Tech have all expressed interest."

He's taking in camp in Hattiesburg next weekend.

"I'm excited about going down there to camp," he said. "I'm looking forward to the time on campus and getting to know those coaches better. I'm hoping I can earn an offer as well because I like the program."

Strickland is coming down for the camp on the 20th, where the Eagles will be hosting a variety of prospects in their final camp of the summer.

We'll have complete reports following camp.
