  • How have you improved since you were in high school at Byhalia High School?
"I've gotten bigger since high school, obviously. Now, I'm just trying to perfect my technique, better my footwork, work on hand placement, and just visualize the defense."

East Mississippi Community College's team is projected to be a very good team this season. You've been here since May. What are your thoughts about the team based on what you have seen from the players during the summer workouts?
"We are a good team because we are close like a family. Everybody works hard and are dedicated to the team."

Not only is the team really good but the facilities at East Mississippi are really good, facilities like the football stadium, the football locker room and the new student union. What are your thoughts about the facilities?
"They are nice. if you have new things I think you will play good. If you have crap, you'll play like crap."

When you first got to East Mississippi did you expect the facilities to be as good as they are?
"I didn't, really. And once I got here I was shocked."

What surprised you the most about East Mississippi Community College after you had been here awhile?
"Really, the tightness of the team and how close everyone is."

Recruiting-wise, who is showing interest in you right now?
"Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia and Memphis."

Have any of them offered a scholarship yet?
    "No sir, not yet."

What do the college coaches say that they like about you?
"They like that I'm a big, long athletic tackle. They think that I can stay outside on the edge."

What do you like about each of the schools?
"Mississippi State, I like that they are a real aggressive team. They are going to make you work like you work in the weight room.

"Ole Miss, I think they are going to be a real good team. They are building their program up this year.

"Georgia, I like that they run the ball a lot. That is kind of what I like to do.

"Memphis is close to home. I live something like 5 minutes from the school."
