It's been a busy few days for you hasn't it with coaches able to come by and visit with you at school?
"Yes sir, it has, with the opening of recruiting starting Monday. I got the chance to talk to (Mississippi State head) Coach (Rick) Ray Tuesday. I got to sit down and talk with him. That was good. But, yes, it's been pretty busy."
You mentioned Coach Ray of Mississippi State. What schools are showing interest in you?
"Right now, the main ones are VCU, Mississippi State and Miami (FL). Those are my main core."
Have you narrowed it down to those three or are those the three that are showing the most interest?
"No, I haven't narrowed it down. Those aren't even a list. But those are the ones that have really been in contact with me lately."
We'll talk about which coaches have come in for in-school visits and who else has set up plans to visit with you. But first we'll talk about your visit with Coach Ray. What was that visit like?
"I've talked to him before when I went down for an unofficial visit to Mississippi State to talk to him and the other coaches on their staff. I got to hang out with them for a day before I came down here to Florida. It was a good visit because I got to talk to him again. We talked personally and got to catch up. That was the main thing we did on his visit."
What do you think about him as a coach and as a person?
"We have a good relationship. I think he is a great coach, real knowledgeable and real personable. He and I have a good connection. I like him a lot."
Have any other coaches come in for in-school visits with you?
"(VCU head coach) Shaka Smart and (VCU assistant) Coach (Mike) Morrell from VCU have (last Monday). And I think (Miami head) Coach (Jim) Larranaga is coming next Wednesday."
What did you think about the VCU coaches?
"It was good. It was good catching up, not so much about basketball but just catching up. I have really built relationships with a lot of the coaches over the time that I have gotten to know them."
Since Miami, Mississippi State and VCU are recruiting you the hardest, let's talk about each of those schools. First, what are your thoughts about Mississippi State?
"It's good. I just like it. I like the entire coaching staff. I have a good relationship with (assistant) Coach (Chris) Hollender, Coach Ray, really all of them. I like the entire school and the entire situation there."
What do you like about VCU?
"I like the basketball-first type thing on their campus and the location. I have a sister down there. I like the entire coaching staff as well. I have a good relationship with them, as I do with many other schools. It is good."
What do you like about Miami?
"I love the weather, I love the people, I love the coaching staff and getting to know them. I like the fact that it is a private school. It's a big school but not too big. It's just a good thing to me."
Have you got any visits planned with those three in the next few weeks?
"I think I have a visit scheduled for the October 3rd weekend with Mississippi State, October 10th with VCU, and somewhere between this weekend and October 3rd I'll be going to Miami."
Are there any other schools that you may visit unofficially other than those three?
"I think I will be going to Xavier this weekend for an unofficial visit. They are pretty big, too. I'm trying to get to know (head) Coach (Chris) Mack and their coaching staff as well. Maybe Florida, but there are a lot of schools that I'm looking at. I'm just not sure right now."
Are you going to sign in November or in the spring?
"Probably in November."
Have you thought about what you are looking for in a school?
"Really, just a good relationship with the people of the school. I'm also looking at the actual school. I know I will get a great education at all of the schools that I'm looking at. I'm also looking for a good community, a good fanbase, and somewhere where I will be wanted as much as I want to be there."
