Rawlings Talks Ragin' Cajuns

Madison-Ridgeland HS offensive lineman Sean Rawlings (6-6,280) traveled down to Louisiana to watch the Ragin' Cajuns last weekend against the Nicholls Colonels. Rawlings came away impressed with the staff and game day atmosphere at Cajun Field. Go inside the Cajun Redzone for the rest of the story!

Madison- Ridgeland HS offensive lineman Sean Rawlings had traveled down to Lafayette to attend a football camp in July, but the big senior had never attended a football field at Cajun Field. Last Saturday Rawlings traveled down to Louisiana to watch the Ragin' Cajuns with his parents and had a firsthand opportunity to absorb the Ragin' Cajuns game day atmosphere.

"It was great," Rawlings said. "The Stadium didn't look at as big until it filled up with the fans and you could smell all the food in the tailgating area. We went in with the team before the games to listen to Coach Hudspeth speak to the team and his pregame talk was really cool. He had everyone in that locker room fired up and ready to play."

Rawlings is being recruited at the center position and kept his eye on the offensive line and Andre Huval.

"I always watch the offensive line during the game," Sean mentioned. "Andre Huval really controls the line well, that good is as good as any I've ever seen. They took control of the game early and just dominated the defensive line of Nicholls State. I thought they executed well in the game."

Rawlings is holding three offers right now, with interest from the state schools in Mississippi.

"I have offers from UL, Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech right now," Rawlings stated. "I also have interest from Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss. I'm going to the Mississippi State versus Troy game in Starkville Saturday night. I plan on taking my official visit to UL in January."

The Cajun Redzone will follow Sean Rawlings through the 2013 season.
