"I am still solid in my commitment to Mississippi State," said Harris before boarding the bus to Tucker High for Friday night's game. "My relationship with Mississippi State is really good.
"We talk just about everyday. I just off the phone with my recruiter and they are supposed to be coming to see me play soon.
"Me and Mississippi State are hanging in there.
"I am still hearing from some of the schools that offered me, but I am solid with Mississippi State."
Harris reports that his attraction to Mississippi State has not waned in the months since he committed.
"I like the blocking schemes they use at Mississippi State and that they can get linemen into the NFL," said Harris. "It's close to home too.
"I am supposed to be visiting there when they play Alabama.
"I want to see everything and just get to know what all they do when they are off the field."
Stephenson High has a big game tonight against Tucker High School.
The match-up presents the first real test for the Jaguars.
"The season is going good," said Harris. "We're 5-0, but I feel like we're not really getting the respect we deserve.
"We have to prove ourselves tonight against Tucker.
"There are still some haters out there, so we just need to go and prove ourselves tonight."
Harris has worked his way back from a few ailments over the course of the last few months.
While the three star tackle is still working his self into mid season form, he is pleased with his early season progress.
"I feel like I am playing at about 85%," said Harris. "I feel great though.
"I get my ankles taped and get my wrist tapped, so I am ready to go."
