Alwal, James Lead Bulldogs Scrimmage

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Reigning Gillom Trophy winner Martha Alwal and junior Jerica James scored 19 points each as the Mississippi State women's basketball team put together an impressive showing in its Maroon-White scrimmage at Humphrey Coliseum.

Senior Katia May, James' backcourt mate, tallied 13 points and a team-high seven assists, while junior Kendra Grant and freshman Breanna Richardson tallied 12 points apiece.

Fellow rookie Dominique Dillingham also reached double-figures with 10 points.
