MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update Week Ten

The regular season is nearly over as several teams jockey for post season position. Several future Bulldogs are in the hunt for a region and possible state title. The games only get bigger from here.

Braxton Hoyett and Pelham (6-3) will travel to Shades Valley in a huge match-up.

Hoyett helped lead a defensive effort last week that helped knocked off previously unbeaten Spain Park 27-24.

Nick Fitzgerald and Richmond Hill remain in contention for premium seeing in the playoffs, but a win this week over Jenkins.

Fitzgerald helped the Wildcats to a 7-1 mark after doubling up Bardwell Institute 28-14 last week.

In that contest, Fitzgerald accounted for all four scores with a touchdown pass to go along with 233 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.

Deshon Cooper and Columbia will close out the regular season on the road at Stone Mountain.

Columbia (5-3) enters the game on a three game winning streak after getting by Redan easily 42-6 last week.

Jordan Harris and Stephenson host Mays tonight in an important win when it comes to seeding.

The Jaguars survived a scare against MLK last week, but earned a 10-6 hard fought victory.

Aeris Williams and West Point (5-4) are travelling to New Hope this week in hopes of keeping their season going in the right direction.

Williams had 254 yards and three touchdowns last week on 37 work horse carries in a 43-22 win over Saltillo.

Darrius Liggins and Oxford remain undefeated at 9-0.

The Chargers will take on Center Hill on the road this week after dispatching of Clarksdale 47-12.

Dontavian Lee will look to get his run totals back over the century mark this week when the Aggies take on Northeast Jones.

FCAHS (7-2) got just 51 yards from Lee last week, but was able to outlast Greene County 28-21.

Left for dead after a gut wrenching loss to rival Gulfport, Harrison Central is on a roll.

Winners of three straight, the Red Rebels can lock up a playoff spot with a win over St. Martin.

Last week Harrison Central came from behind to knock off Biloxi 49-42 to move their record to 6-3 on the campaign.

Sean Rawlings and MRA are looking to rebound this week as they travel to Hillcrest.

MRA (6-3) fell to rival Jackson Academy 30-20 last week in an important game for both teams.

Chris Rayford and Byhalia look to be playing out the string this week as they take on Lafayette.

BHS (3-5) fell to Ripley 51-7 last week.

Logan Cooke is back in action, but Columbia Academy is still trying to find the magic.

This week the Cougars host Presbyterian Christian.

CA fell to East Rankin Academy 52-13 last week to drop their record to 3-6.

In that game, Cooke had three kickoffs all for touchbacks and four punts with a 36 yard average including a long of 55.

Norman Price and Hinds knocked off PRC 38-14 to end their regular season at 7-2.

Jocquell Johnson and Co-Lin followed suit with a 42-14 win over Southwest CC to move their mark to 7-2.

Both Hinds and Co-Lin are eliminated from playoff contention and will hold out hope for a post season bowl berth somewhere.

All other MSU commitments have concluded their seasons.
