Green Sets Two Officials

Marcus Green committed to Louisiana-Monroe before the 2013 season got underway. Since that time, Green has continued to receive interest from in state favorite Mississippi State. While the process has continued to roll on without an offer from the Bulldogs, the pace appears to be quickening.

Marcus Green profile

"Coach (Scott) Sallach (Mississippi State) came to see me at the school today," said Green. "We just went and sat in the office and talked for a while.

"We have become very close during the recruiting process and we just talk about everyday things in life."

While the Bulldogs' tight end coach was on campus, the talk turned more serious before his departure.

"He told me that they want me to come in on a visit the last weekend in January," said Green. "He said that he needs me to just stay patient with them and that they are working some things out.

"I feel like I am still in good shape with them.

"Coach Sallach told me that they had some other receivers on their board, but that I was still up there at the top."

While the Bulldogs' flirtations are intriguing, the talented wide out is still committed to Louisiana-Monroe.

"I am supposed to have my in home visit with ULM on Wednesday and on next Wednesday too," said Green. "I am taking my official out there the weekend of the 18th."

Green had a tremendous season as a senior, leading his team to the north state finals.
