"Louisville called me yesterday," said Calhoun. "Coach (Garrick) McGee called, but he mainly wanted to talk to my mama.
"He talked with her and told her that I had an offer from Louisville and that they want me to come up there and visit."
Calhoun reports that he was a little surprised by the new option, but that the new Louisville offensive coordinator is a familiar face.
"Coach McGee was one of the first coaches to ever recruit me," said Calhoun. "He started recruiting me when he was UAB and he just started recruiting me again now that he's at Louisville.
"I am going to visit there on the 31st."
Calhoun reports that shortly after he made arrangements with Louisville, he spoke with recruiting coach Geoff Collins of Mississippi State.
"I let Coach Collins know that I was going to visit Louisville," said Calhoun. "He told me that they weren't really comfortable with me taking that visit so late.
"I am visiting Mississippi State next weekend and we're going to talk more about everything then."
The Cardinals are not the only program still making the Bulldogs' work for his signing day signature.
"Southern Miss wants me to come and take a visit there this weekend, but I haven't agreed to that," said Calhoun. "I am not sure if I am going to visit there or not.
"I know I am going to visit Mississippi State next weekend and then I am planning on going to Louisville the next weekend.
"I still plan on signing with Mississippi State though.
"I just need to be sure about everything, because this is for the next four years of my life."
