"Mississippi State and Ole Miss have offered me," said Bardney, who helped lead his team to a 14-1 record and the semi-finals of the 2013 Mississippi High School 5A State Championship. "They (both) offered me last month. My coach told me that they both had offered."
He has grown up following both schools.
"I love both schools," said Bardney. "I have been watching them ever since I was little."
Even though it's still very early in the recruiting process for the 2016 prospect, he already knows who the coaches are who are recruiting him for Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
"I am being recruited by Derrick Nix from Ole Miss and Greg Knox from Mississippi State," said Bardney.
Although Bardney is a standout on the gridiron, he also plays basketball for Callaway.
"Playing basketball helps my conditioning and helps keep me in shape for football," said Bardney.
Bardney, who plays left tackle for Callaway High School, explained what he feels are his strengths as a football player.
"I have good footwork, good hands, and I have a good football IQ," he said.
Bardney plans on taking in some college camps this coming summer.
"I'm going to try to go to some camps this summer," he said. "I'll go wherever my coach wants me to go to."
