"I am going to be visiting Mississippi State now," said Pierce. "I spoke with the coaches today and they want me to come on a visit.
"I am going to be flying over there and I am ready to get over there and see everything."
While many have expected Pierce to stay in Florida for college, he reports that most of his younger years were spent in the Magnolia State of Mississippi.
"I was born in Wisconsin, but I grew up in Mississippi and then Florida," said Pierce. "I have a lot of family in Indianola, Mississippi.
"My cousin, Rufus Warren, plays for Mississippi State.
"I am looking forward to seeing him this weekend."
It has been projected that Pierce may be close to a commitment to Florida Atlantic, but the four star standout reports that none of that speculation originated with him.
"I had a good visit to FAU," said Pierce. "They told me all about everything and they showed me around.
"I am not sure where all of this is coming from about me signing with FAU.
"I know I haven't said anything to anybody and I haven't even made up my mind yet."
Pierce reports that he plans to take his trip to Starvkille and then spend a day or two deciding what move to make next.
"I will probably wait and decide on signing day," said Pierce. "I am not sure who I am going to sign with yet.
"I am just going to take my time and then make a decision."
