Derouen Holding Five Offers

Trey Derouen recently picked up an offer from Mississippi State pushing his official scholarship tally to five. Derouen admits to being a little taken back by his early run of good fortune, but he also knows that his hard work on and off the field is paying off. With more campus visits scheduled for the coming weeks, the Parkview High school product may see his list of options grow.

"Right now I have offers from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Duke, Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee," said Derouen. "I have talked with coaches from those schools.

"I am hearing a lot from Ole Miss too. They send me a lot of hand written letters.

"They haven't offered yet, but they may be next."

Derouen reports that he is willing to play any number of positions to help his team of the future.

"Nobody has really said where they want me to play, but I figure it will be guard," said Derouen. "It doesn't really matter to me. I will play any position on the line if I need to.

"I can play wherever they put me."

At this point, the Lilburn, Georgia standout is not ready to make any decisions or narrow his focus to a list of favorites.

The talented three star plans to go through the process and see what options his talents avail him before narrowing the field.

"I don't have any favorites right now," said Derouen. "I didn't really expect to have all of these offers yet.

"I am going to take my time.

"I am going to Florida State for their junior day on the 22nd and then on March 8th, I am going to Duke.

"After that, I am going to try to get to Tennessee."
