Pierce Recaps Mississippi State Visit

One of the nation's top tight ends for the 2014 signing class remains unsigned. Plantation, Florida product Ravian Pierce elected not to sign on national signing day, because he was simply not ready to decide. The four star standout wanted to squeeze in a rescheduled visit to Mississippi State before making his college decision.

"My visit to Mississippi State went really good," said Pierce. "I got to see everything while I was there.

"I went to the basketball game and to the baseball game and I got to see the weight room and all of that.

"I liked everything about the visit."

Pierce was hosted by tight end Rufus Warren who did his best to provide some insight into the Bulldog program.

"That's my cousin," said Pierce of Warren. "He showed me around and told me about how it is over there.

"We had a good time together and told me how good it would be to have me over there."

Warren's sales pitch ended with an exit interview with Bulldog head man Dan Mullen.

"Coach Mullen told me that they really want me over there," said Pierce. "He told me I was the kind of player that they were looking for.

"He told me that I still have a scholarship and they hope that I sign with them."

The clock is still ticking, but Pierce is not certain which direction he will go.

"I am not sure when I am going to sign," said the scout.com national 300 selection. "I am still thinking about things.

"I liked Mississippi State a lot. There is a good chance that I sign with them."
