Myers Enjoys Recent Return Visit

Oak Grove's Cameron Myers was one of the first 2015 commitments to jump into the Mississippi State recruiting bandwagon. Since that time, Myers has done his part to aid in the Bulldogs' recruiting efforts. Myers recently spent some time on the Mississippi State campus as a junior day visitor. Needless to say, Myers was doing his part to represent the Maroon and White.

"I had a really good visit," said Myers. "I had not been in the new football facility before, so that was a little different this time.

"I got to see all of the facilities and that is important to me.

"I am going to be up there for three or four years, so it's good to know where I will be spending my time."

Myers had the chance to pick the brain of a current Mississippi State football player during his time on campus.

"I got to hang out with Gabe Myles," said Myers. "I liked him.

"He told me all about his freshman year up there and all of the things you have to do and how the coaches are and all of that.

"I enjoyed talking with him and he just showed me around and showed me everything."

Myles reports that his commitment to Mississippi State is solid and that he is working hard to bring the 2015 class together.

"I have been talking to Jordan Duncan, Javon Patterson and Jamal Peters about Mississippi State and about how the best players in Mississippi are going up there," said Myers. "I know they are all going to go through the process and make their own decisions, but I wanted them to know why I am going to Mississippi State. Myers was instrumental in helping Oak Grove win a state championship in 2014.

The rising senior will make the move behind center this fall in hopes of leading the Warriors to a repeat.
