SEC Offer in Hand

Mississippi State had a lot of success in the state of Georgia during the 2014 signing period. The Bulldogs are back in the Peach State looking to build on last year's recruiting wins. Cedar Grove corner Christopher Fredrick picked up an offer from the Bulldogs on Wednesday and he likes what he is hearing from the folks in Starkville.

"I got a message this morning from Coach (David) Turner, but I didn't realize it until this afternoon," said Fredrick. "I messaged him back and he told me that they were offering me a scholarship."

Fredrick reports that the news of the Bulldogs' scholarship was extremely well received.

"I am really excited about the offer," said the talented corner. "It just shows me that all of my hard work is paying off.

"When I told my family, they were all really excited and they just told me to stay humble and keep working hard."

The lines of communication between Fredrick and the Bulldogs appear to be wide open now.

"I am going to probably call Coach Turner tomorrow and talk with him," said Fredrick. "I want to get over there as soon as possible and visit the campus and get to meet the coaches.

"I don't know a whole lot about them, but I am ready to get to know what all they have to offer."

Several other schools have shown interest in Fredrick, but the Bulldogs have beaten most of those programs to the punch.

"Old Dominion offered me back during my tenth grade year, but I have been talking with a lot of other schools," said Fredrick. "Georgia Tech, Central Florida, Northwestern and a few more.

"I am excited about everything and I am just trying to work hard to get better in everything I do."
