"I am just getting ready to get on the plane to head home," said Pollock on Monday afternoon. "I got to Mississippi on Friday and I stayed the whole weekend."
Friday afternoon, Pollock was able to see his future teammates in action on the spring practice field.
"Practice was really good," said Pollock. "I was able to spend some time around and the players and I was able to talk with the coaches.
"I got to go into the linebackers meeting with coach (Geoff) Collins and I learned a lot."
Pollock reports that he was able to pick up some knowledge that will help his game this season.
"Watching film with Coach Collins, I was able to learn more about fitting gaps and reading offenses," said Pollock. "He really showed me how to break down film correctly.
"I will be able to go back home and watch my own high school films and see things I can do better.
"That is going to only help me this year and down the road."
"The baseball game was amazing," said Pollock. "We were out there behind the outfield and everybody was grilling and just having a good time.
"They killed them in the game, so that made the atmosphere even better.
"I met some of the fans and I was able to watch the game out there on some of those stands in the outfield.
"It was a lot of fun."
The weekend in Bulldog land appears to have made an impact on the talented linebacker.
"Things are good with Mississippi State," said Pollock. "Things are like they have been for a while now.
"I don't anything else planned for the spring after this other than getting ready for spring football.
"I plan on coming back to Mississippi State for Big Dawg camp, but that's all I have planned right now."
