"I had a good time watching them practice," said Dorbeck of his second unofficial visit to Starkville. "I didn't get to go to the O line meeting, because we were a little late getting there.
"We got there right when they were coming out to the practice fields."
Dorbeck was more than just a causal observer of the Bulldog big men in action.
The Vicksburg, Mississippi resident trained his eye on the college level standouts in an effort to improve his own game.
"I really watched how they did things," said Dorbeck of the Bulldog blockers. "I watched their footwork and how they used their hands and things like that.
"I just did my best to see what I could pick up."
Mississippi State has not yet extended an offer to the 6-7, 303 pounder, but it appears that the relationship continues to grow.
"I have a good relationship with Coach (Greg) Knox," said Dorbeck. "He invited me to come watch them practice and I got an invite to the Maroon and White game, but I am not going to be able to go.
"They haven't talked about an offer yet, but they are staying in touch with me a lot.
"If Mississippi State offered me a scholarship, that would be big.
"They would probably be my #1."
