"My coach was talking with me after school and he started talking about Mississippi State," said Anderson. "He said that they had called and talked with him about me and that he had a message for me to call them."
Anderson reports that he eagerly dialed the number to hear with the Bulldogs had to say.
"I called them and they told me that they were offering me a scholarship," said Anderson. "This is my first offer and it's such a blessing to me.
"I just want to say that God is good."
Anderson has a working knowledge of Mississippi State and he plans to learn more in the coming weeks.
"I know a lot about Mississippi State," said Anderson. "I know they have Deshea Townsend coaching the corners and everybody knows who he is.
"They have a good program there and they are on the rise.
"I am planning to visit out there this summer to learn more about the school and get to meet all of the coaches.
"They haven't said if they want me to play corner or safety, but I want to play whatever can get me to the NFL."
While the Bulldogs are the first to offer, they are not the only program showing a serious level of interest in the Lone Star state standout.
"I am hearing from Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas, Maryland, U of H (Houston) and a few other schools," said Anderson. "Mississippi State is my first offer, so I know I should be hearing a lot more from them."
