Womack Expecting New Options

Matt Womack enters the spring as one of the top offensive line prospects in his home state of Mississippi. With several offers already in hand, even more college football coaches are talking about extending their own offers to the massive 6-6, 300 + offensive tackle.

Matt Womack profile

Womack currently holds offers from Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Southern Miss and UAB.

As coaches make their recruiting rounds in north Mississippi, Womack expects to add to that number.

"Tuesday Coach Koonz from Cincinnati is coming to see me," explained Womack. "I am expecting them to offer based on what he told my coach.

"Coach (John) Hevesy from Mississippi State is coming on the 28th and I am hoping to pick up an offer from them too."

"ULM and ULL are both coming. Purdue is really picking up.

"Oklahoma State is talking about offering me when I visit up there."

An early favorite, Ole Miss, appears to be falling out of the race.

"I haven't talked to Coach (Matt) Luke since junior day," said Womack. "I am not really sure where things stand with them."

Womack has not set a time frame for a decision and is still not ready to name a leader.

"I can't really say right now," said Womack of a favorite school. "I am just taking my time with everything."
