ScoutTV: Jarvis Wilson

Jarvis Wilson was a key component in the Tupelo Golden Wave's run at the 6A state championship last season. Wilson served the Wave in several capacities, but above all he was a contributor wherever he was needed. See highlights of Wilson in action in this ScoutTV presentation.

Jarvis Wilson is being recruited to play safety at Mississippi and he certainly has the skill set to handle those responsibilities on the next level.

Wilson plays a rugged brand of football and understands that the name of the game is physicality.

On offense, Wilson was a solid ball carrier as a junior, finding the endzone six times on the ground as well as helping out as a solid possession receiver.

When catching the ball short of the sticks, Wilson has the strength to lower his head and power ahead for the first down or carry an willing defender forward.

Many high school football prospects are forced to redshirt as freshmen to allow their maturing frames some time to season, but Wilson is already ahead of the game when it comes to physical fitness.

Known as one of the leaders on the Tupelo football team, Wilson made a commitment to the weight room and his off season conditioning early in his career.
