"It was a good camp," said McLaurin of his MSU camp experience. "They taught me drills that help me get physical on and off the ball."
McLaurin is always trying to improve himself whenever he attends a college camp.
"I come to camps to try and get better," he said. "We all have room for improvement. And each and every day you want to come out and try to get better."
McLaurin has visited Mississippi State several times. And each time he has enjoyed his visit.
"This was probably my fourth time to come to Mississippi State," said the Scout.com three-star prospects. "The coaches are very friendly and make me feel at home. Each time they show me new things about the school and also about their system. It's a great place to be."
Mississippi State is one of several college camps that McLaurin will be attending this summer.
"I'm going to Georgia tomorrow," he said. "Then, I'm going to try and go to Auburn, Florida, Southern Miss and Tennessee or Alabama."
Many of those same schools have either offered McLaurin or are showing strong interest.
"Mississippi State, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Lafayette, Memphis, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida and Auburn are recruiting me," said McLaurin. "Mississippi State, Southern (Miss), Louisiana Lafayette, Louisiana Tech and Arkansas State have offered."
The talented safety from Collins High School is taking his time with the recruiting process.
"I'm still new to this recruiting thing but I'm enjoying it," said McLaurin. "I'm probably going to make a great decision at the end of the year."
