"It was a good experience," said Williams, who participated in the Monday football camp. "I came here and worked really hard. The coaches liked my quickness and my hands."
Williams came away impressed with Mississippi State after being on campus a few hours before and after the camp.
"It's a nice school, great environment, great people, great coaches, I like it," said Williams.
His recruiting coach from Mississippi State is running backs coach Greg Knox. He and Knox stay in contact through social media.
"I talked to Coach Knox about every other day on Facebook," said Williams. "He says he wants to come to my school after my junior year and see what I have accomplish and possibly offer me."
Mississippi State is one of many camps that Williams will attend this summer.
"I've gone to the ULL camp, the Baylor camp, and Louisiana Tech," he said. "I plan on going to Tulane. That will probably be my last one."
He is receiving recruiting attention from all of those schools as well as one more.
"Mississippi State, Louisiana Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Baylor, Tulane and Arizona State are interested in me," said Williams.
