"I committed today once I got home," said Green. "Coach (Dan) Mullen offered me this morning.
"After I got home and talked with my parents, I called Coach Mullen and I told him that I was ready to be a Bulldog.
"Coach Mullen was real excited and he told me that he was glad to have me."
Green's recruitment took a huge step forward earlier this week when he went through the summer camp paces at Mississippi State's one day camp.
"I feel like I showed them some thing that they have never seen from me before," said Green. "I think I surprised them some, because I did some things that I don't do that much in high school, because of the offense we run.
"I have been working hard and I feel like I did pretty good in the camp.
"I know I can do better and I am going to work hard and go back up there for Big Dawg camp."
Green reports that he has already shared his good news with a couple of friends from around the state who he has grown to know over the course of the recruiting process.
"I have been talking to Leo (Lewis) about it a lot and I talked with Jarvis (Wilson)," said Green. "I am not sure how much recruiting I am going to be doing, but I wanted them to know.
"This is such a relief for me and I am happy to get this over with.
"I am glad to have all of this off of my shoulders."
