Elliott came away very impressed with Mississippi State offensive line coach John Hevesy after working with him during the MSU camp.
"Coach Hevesy is great," said Elliott. "He is very to the point. I like a coach who just gets to the point."
He also is very impressed with Mississippi State, a school that he has known about since his 5th grade year.
"My dad's best friend is an alumnus from (Mississippi State) and he took me to a (Mississippi State) game (when I was in the 5th grade)," said Elliott. "The atmosphere at the game was unreal. So, ever since I was little I've had Mississippi State on my mind. I like Mississippi State a lot. I was supporting them through the year. People would ask me why I was supporting them and I told them it's just something about the town."
He and his teammate, Creighton Barr, are teaming up to either visiting or camping at several colleges this summer.
"I have camped at OU (Oklahoma)," said Elliott. "And I ran a 5.0 forty at the TCU camp. I was at Memphis yesterday. We will drop by Ole Miss as well on the way to Arkansas State. Then, tomorrow we might do the Arkansas State camp. It just depends on how our bodies feel. We've done three days of camps."
Just going into his junior season, Elliott already has serious interest from several colleges.
"Baylor has high interest in me," said Elliott. "OU, Texas Tech, Clemson, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt likes me a lot, too. Oklahoma State likes me too but I'm not super high on their list."
