"Coming here today was just all about competing," said Stamps. "I just wanted to get better and show the coaches what I got."
Stamps was impressed with the level of intensity that Coach Townsend showed during drills and how hard he pushed the prospects to compete.
"Coach Townsend is going to get the best out of you," said Stamps. "He is going to push you to your limit.
"He is big on technique and we're going to work that hard every time.
"I feel like I got better today at my man to man press technique.
"Man to man press is all about distracting the receiver from the jump at the line and making the quarterback look somewhere else."
In addition to sharpening his skill set, Stamps had the chance to reconnect with several of his future coaches.
"Every time I come up here, it feels like home," said Stamps. "I had fun seeing all of the coaches and working with Coach Townsend."
Stamps reports that he is eager to get to work on the 2014 Warren Central football team.
"I am not putting my focus on any thing other than my team right now," said Stamps.
"I just want to get better and help me team get farther in the playoffs.
"I just want to get to the state championship.
"We have a great group of seniors that have played together since the tenth grade.
"I feel we can go all of the way. We have a chance to be really good.
"We have the experience, we just need to go play our best."
Stamps is set to attend the Big Dawg camp next month, but that appears to be his only summer appointment.
"I don't have anything else set up and I don't have any dates set," said Stamps. "I am just trying to focus all of my effort on Warren Central football right now."
