Hicks explained what he likes about attending college camps, such as the one he attended at Mississippi State this past Thursday.
"We play against good competition that makes us better as a team and that makes me better as a player," said Hicks.
Hicks is one the top players in the southeast in his class. And, as you might expect of someone as talented as he is, he has a lot of colleges showing interest in him.
"I have offers from Florida, Florida State, Southern Miss, Alabama, and I have high interest from Georgia, Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Mississippi State," said the Scout.com 3-star prospect.
He explained what coaches like about his game.
"College coaches like my versatility and my athleticism," said Hicks. "They say they can play me at multiple positions."
Mississippi State is one of the many colleges that likes what they see from the talented youngster.
"(Mississippi State head) Coach (Rick) Ray has been watching me for a while," said Hicks. "They are showing me high interest."
Hicks has been to Mississippi State a few times and has enjoyed the times that he has been there.
"I have been to Mississippi State several times," he said. "I feel real comfortable with the coaches and the environment. And me and Coach Ray have a close relationship outside of basketball."
