  • He explained the benefits that he and his team received from participating in the camp.

    "Coming to a team camp helps us a lot," said Carter. "It gives us more experience and it gives us a chance to play some tough competition."

    Individually, he worked on his entire game while at the camp.

    "Individually, I work on everything that I can during the camp, both defensively and offensively," said Carter.

    Carter's dad, Greg Carter, is not only his head coach at Starkville High School but also a former college player who played at Mississippi State. His dad's experience has helped him with his game and recruiting.

    "It helps a lot because he was also once a kid and made it to college and did pretty good," said Carter. "He's done everything."

    As of now, Carter is receiving recruiting attention from two colleges.

    "Middle Tennessee State and South Alabama are recruiting me," said Carter.
