That quarter of contenders has remained consistent over the course of the last few weeks.
With multiple unofficial visits to both Mississippi State and Ole Miss already under his belt, Womack plans to return to his other finalists in the coming days.
"I will be at LSU (July) 18th through the 20th and then South Carolina on the 25th," said Womack. "After those two visits, that should do it."
Womack lists the chances of him staying in state for college as "50/50".
It appears that one of Mississippi's SEC programs has been a little hot and cold with the talented offensive lineman.
"I had been hearing a lot from LSU, Ole Miss and South Carolina and very little from Mississippi State until this week," said Womack. "Those are my four finalists.
"I will be ready to make a decision after these last two visits."
There was a rising school of thought that Womack may commit to LSU on the spot should the Tigers elect to offer.
That offer materialized after a solid camp showing in June, but still Womack remained available.
"Nick Saban told me that they were going to take one offensive tackle," said Womack. "He said that they were going to be slow about offering and I wanted that offer, so I waited."
The wait will soon be over. Alabama appears to be headed in another direction, but Womack is content with his list of options.
