"I can't wait to get up there and compete," said Stamps. "I am going up there planning on getting interceptions.
"I want to go out there and compete against the best and preform at a high level.
"I am thinking interceptions. That's what I am focused on."
Stamps took part in the Bulldogs' June camp session and enjoyed the chance to work with his future position coach, Deshea Townsend.
"I want to brush up on everything we talked about, so I can be ready for the season," said Stamps. "I want to do everything again, so I know that I have it down.
"We worked on how to work when you get tired and muscle memory and all of that last time.
"I want to learn as much as I can, so I can use it this season."
While Townsend is a big reason why Stamps elected to commit to Mississippi State, the three star corner reports that perhaps his best relationship is with area recruiter Greg Knox.
"I talk to Coach Knox all of the time," said Stamps. "He is always so positive and always high energy.
"You can tell he always enjoys what he's doing and he wants you to enjoy it too.
"I like being around him and talking with him.
"He's just really energetic and excited about everything."
Stamps is one of several Bulldog commitments planning to do some recruiting while on campus this weekend.
"I am going to be on Justin Johnson to commit," said Stamps. "I talk to him almost everyday.
"He's a great player and I hope he comes with us.
"I got to compete against him during camp last time.
"He caught a couple of balls on me and I made some plays against him.
"I don't think either one of us get the better of the other, so I guess we'll just have to settle it at Big Dawg camp this Friday."
