The Opening: OL Keenan Walker

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral offensive lineman Keenan Walker had a strong week at The Opening showing he's among the top tackle prospects in the country.

Keenan Walker drew a lot of national raves for how he performed at The Opening last week. He lined up at right tackle and had some of the most dominant one on one reps in the event. At 6-5, 282 pounds, Walker has an ideal tackle frame, is very physical and has great feet.

He tested very well in the SPARQ Competition finishing third among all offensive lineman with a 99.27 Rating, headlined by a 5.11-40 and a ridiculous 4.31 shuttle time.

"It's like they said it would be, this was football heaven all week," Walker said. "It was one of the best experiences of my life and I loved every part of it. You have all this talent from all over the country and of course the great NIKE gear too.

"I learned a lot from the coaches too. They taught me to expand my game but refining my technique and that's what I tried to do. They pointed out some things I was doing in my pass set and when I tried them out, I could immediately tell a difference. Overall, I felt good about how I played and had an incredible time."

On the recruiting front, Walker made an early commitment to Arizona and remains rock solid.

"I love UA, I'm not looking around at all," Walker said. "I won't be taking any other trips except to UA, I'm locked up and threw away the key. There's a reason why I committed so early, it's a great school and the perfect fit for me and I can't wait to get out there and get going."
