Green Expecting Big Dawg Headlines

Wesson Tight end Farrod Green may not be Mississippi State fan's first pick when it comes to highly rated prospects, but the talented Green has emerged as one of the Bulldogs' most influential. Green will join many of Dan Mullen's top 2015 targets this Friday when the stars set on Davis Wade Stadium for this years' Big Dawg camp.

"I am looking forward to getting up there Friday," said Green. "I was just there in June, but I am excited to go back.

"I want to work out with the coaches and be around all of the other players.

"I am looking forward to competing and getting to see what all they have planned for us."

Green reports that his role as a leader in the Bulldogs' class is one that he relishes.

"I have been talking to a lot of players about going to Mississippi State and being a part of something special," said Green. "The best players in Texas go to their schools in Texas and the best players in Alabama go to their schools in Alabama.

"The players in Mississippi need to come together and build something special at Mississippi State.

"I think that's what we need to be doing and working together to do something new at Mississippi State."

While Green has a Mississippi first mentality, his state loyalty appears to have a Maroon tint to it.

"I just like Mississippi State better than Ole Miss," said Green. "Mississippi State develops their players.

"I just feel like Mississippi State is a special place and we all need to go up there.

"I feel like the coaches at Mississippi State are going to make us better players and get the most out of us."

While Bulldog fans await news of any possible commitments, Green reports that he has some inside information about what to expect.

"There is going to be some really big news Friday," said Green. "Everyone is going to have to wait and see what it's going to be, but everybody is going to be excited."
