"I am going Friday and I am real excited about being on campus again," said Virgil. "I had a good time when I went over there before and I am ready to get back and get to know some of the players who are already there and all of the other players that are committed too."
Virgil reports that he is beginning to form a bond with several of his fellow verbal pledges.
"I am in touch with Malik (Dear) a little bit.
"I am ready to get there and meet everybody and just have a chance to compete and show what we're about.
"We talk and text and all of that, but this will be the first chance we've all had to be together."
Virgil reports that the bond with the other players who have picked Mississippi State as their college destination has only strengthened his commitment to the Bulldogs.
"I am solid in my decision," said Virgil. "There is nothing that could change my mind now.
"I know Mississippi State is where I want to be and I am not going to decommit or anything like that.
"I am not interested in anybody else coming after me.
"I am excited about being a Bulldog and having the chance to get to know everybody better this weekend."
With his college recruitment settled, Virgil is focusing the bulk of his energy towards his final season on the prep level.
"We have worked harder this off season than we have all of the other years I have been at West Mesquite," said Virgil. "The workouts have come a little easier for me this year, because I know what to do and I am bigger and stronger this year.
"I feel like I am a much better player than I was during my junior year.
"I am excited about the season and we're all working hard to get the most out of this year, because I know this is my senior year."
