"The Big Dawg camp went well," said Jones. "They told me I came up here that I was going to compete and I feel like I competed well.
"It was a great camp."
It appears that the whirlwind romance between Jones and the Bulldogs has made an impact on the talented linebacker.
"I love Mississippi State already," said Jones. "They're grounded here and I am from a grounded home.
"I got to work with Coach Collins and he's a great coach.
"He told me that I was a great player."
Mississippi State currently has 25 verbal commitments towards the 2015 signing class, so Jones was eager to find out what his options are in Starkville.
"They told me that it's down to just two linebackers now," said Jones. "It looks like it's going to be him or me, but I will just have to see what they decide to do."
Jones next stop will be a camping trip at Arkansas State in the coming weeks.
