"I am always ready to play," said Jones. "I have been looking forward to this game all summer.
"I am ready to get back out there and play for real."
Since that time, Jones reports that the Wildcats have been game planning for Jim Hill.
"We watched a lot of film on them and saw the things they did last year," said Jones. "We have been running a lot of their offense and defense in practice against our first team to get ready.
"I feel good about the game and I'm ready to play."
Jones found the end zone once in last year's 47-0 trouncing of Jim Hill, the first of sixteen straight victories for Louisville.
Despite the loss of a talented senior class, expectations are high once again for the Wildcats.
"I feel like we're going to have another big season," said Jones. "It's my senior year, so I want to have my best season."
The jumbo sized wideout has been committed to Mississippi State for just over six months.
Jones is part of an impressive in state haul by Dan Mullen and his staff.
"We have a good class going and if we can get Leo Lewis in it's going to be something else," said Jones. "We're all talking and staying in touch.
"I stay in touch with Deddrick (Thomas) and Jamal (Peters) the most.
"There is going to be a lot of us going to the game next week at Mississippi State when they play Southern Miss.
"I am really looking forward to that game too."
