"I went to the spring game, but this is the first time that I will be able to see a big SEC game there," said Jones. "I am excited about it and I am ready to get down there."
Jones is in regular contact with the Mississippi State staff. The three star standout remains in touch with future position coach David Turner and area recruiter Geoff Collins.
"I talk to them once or twice a week, when they call and I stay in touch with them too," said Jones. "I have a great relationship with the coaches there.
"I had the chance to watch them play against LSU and I thought the defensive line really stood out.
"I enjoyed the game and I wore my Mississippi State shirt to school on Monday and that was fun.
"A lot of people were talking about the game and it made my proud.
"I am still locked in with Mississippi State."
Jones is eager to see his Bulldogs in action in person this weekend and he believes another big win is on the Starkville horizon.
"I think they're going to win the game," said Jones of Mississippi State. "The main thing that they have to do is stop Kenny Hill and then they can win the game.
"He's a great player, but I feel like the defensive line is going to play well again and get another win."
Jones is working to add some more notches to his personal win column.
"We have been working hard this year and we have a lot of experience," said Jones. "We had a lot of juniors return this year to be senior starters and that makes a difference.
"We know how to play with each other and we're just working hard to get better every day."
