  • I realize that you are still a freshman in high school but I know that you are being highly recruited. Do you know what schools are showing interest in you?
    "I have gotten a letter from Baylor and a letter from LSU. And I think I have gotten a letter from Northwestern in Louisiana. I think Mississippi State is also showing interest in me because they called my coach at Veritas and talked to him."

    Have you thought about unofficially visiting some colleges during the upcoming basketball season?
    "I have thought about it but I'm just practicing and training hard."

    What kind of player are you on the basketball court? What are your strengths and things that you are working to improve?
    "I can put it on the floor and get to the basket. I'm working on my shooting and my mid-range game, taking it out to the three-point (line). I'm also working on my defense, moving my feet and rebounding."

    Have you thought about what you are looking for in a college?
    "If I go to a school it will probably be an up-tempo team."


    Barber's AAU coach, Omhar Carter of MBA Hoops, talked about the schools that have offered Barber. He hasn't told Barber that he has received these offers.

    What schools have offered Michael Barber scholarships?
    "He has been offered by Mississippi State, Baylor, UT-Martin, UNLV and Ohio State."
