"It's a big honor," said running back Keith Mixon. "This has always been one of my dreams, so I am really happy to be a part of the game."
Mixon reports that he is eager to have the chance to play alongside some of his future teammates.
"It's good that me and Nick, Justin and Maurice Smitherman get the chance to spend some time together and find out what it's like to play with each other," said Mixon. "I am excited about that."
The Magnolia State will feature eight current Mississippi State verbals, so the battle will take on a little more of a personal nature for the Alabama quartet who want to get a win over their future teammates prior to arriving in Starkville.
Like his fellow Alabama Bulldogs to be, Mixon was able to go to school with his head held on Monday after Mississippi State knocked off Auburn and earned the nation's #1 ranking.
"So many people were saying Auburn was going to win after we left school on Friday," said Mixon. "I got to talk a lot of trash when we got back on Monday.
"I wish I could have gone to the game, but plans changed with our game.
"I was just so happy that they won.
"It's exciting. They're having a great season."
