Washington Considers Return Trip to MSU

Linebacker Tim Washington was one of the first players to join the Mississippi State 2015 recruiting class. Since that time, Washington has reported that he is solid with the Bulldogs, but maintains contact with other programs just in case things chance between he and Mississippi State. With his senior season soon drawing to a close, Washington expects to continue to hear from several programs.

"I am still hearing from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Memphis, Southern Miss, Louisville and a few more," explained Washington. "I talk with Mississippi State a lot and I have a good relationship with Coach (Greg) Knox and Coach (Geoff) Collins.

"I'm still with Mississippi State, but I'm keeping my options open."

Washington has spent a lot of time in Starkville this season and he is considering making another trip to see the Bulldogs play in person later this week.

"I have been to four or five games this year and I might go down there this weekend, but I am not sure yet," said Washington. "I always have a good time when I go down there.

"I have been sitting in the student section and they keep things exciting out there. It's a lot of fun sitting out there.

"Mississippi State is having a wonderful season and I hope that they keep things going. It's exciting."

As things stand now, Washington does not have other game day visits set even though he plans to take in some other games. The schedule remains open depending on which games strike his fancy.

Yazoo City Indian football remains an important part of things for Washington.

With the regular season winding down, the four star linebacker hopes to go out on a winning note this week.

"The season hasn't gone like we hoped it would," said Washington. "We lost again last week.

"I hope we can work hard and try to get a win this week."

Yazoo City plays at Amanda Elzy High School this week in the last regularly scheduled game for the Indians. It appears that the playoffs will take place without Yazoo City.
