When did Mississippi State start recruiting you?
"It was October after my sophomore year after I had played in Florida. Coach (Mingione) started talking to me."

Is Coach Mingione the coach who is your primary Mississippi State recruiter?
"He is actually the only coach that I had talked to prior to this past weekend. I met the other coaches this past weekend."

What are your thoughts about him?
"He is an upbeat guy for sure, which I like. He is always positive and has a lot of energy, which you need as a coach. And he definitely knows the game. Coach Cohen brought him with him so he obviously knows how to win and how to coach and develop players."

What are your thoughts about Coach Cohen?
"He definitely knows what he is talking about. He seems like a coach who expects the best out of you, as does Coach Mingione and all the other coaches. He holds you to a higher standard than even you hold yourself to. That makes you want to be a better player."

What did the Mississippi State coaches say that they liked about you?
"They liked that I played hard and wasn't too big for the game. I have the intangibles to win a game like Mississippi State wants to play, small ball and play fast. That's how I like to play. I think how I play and how they play is a good fit."

Was your visit to Mississippi State the first time that you have visited Mississippi State?
"It was. We have been talking on the phone for about a year and I finally wanted to set up a visit to Starkville and see what it was about. And I loved it. It is pretty cool."

What are the things that you loved about your visit?
"The entire family aspect is really cool. You don't really see that in metropolitan cities. Starkville is all about Mississippi State and Mississippi State is all about Starkville. Everybody is one big family. And you could see that in the baseball game videos."

What are your thoughts about the Mississippi State facilities and coaches?
"The facilities were amazing. The weight room is insane. The Palmeiro Center was awesome, too. All of the coaches know how to produce players and get them to the next level, which is shown by how many Big Leaguers that they have."

Did the coaches mention to you about the MSU baseball stadium expansion?
"I saw that. Nobody else in college baseball will have that. It looks like a Major League stadium. I think it will set a precedent for all of college baseball."

Obviously, Mississippi State is recruiting you. What other schools are recruiting you?
"University of Washington, University of Oregon and Oregon State are the other schools that are recruiting me."

Have any of the other school been recruiting you as long as Mississippi State has?
"The only other school that has been recruiting me as long as Mississippi State has is the University of Oregon. The University of Washington started talking to me about a month after Mississippi State and Oregon State started talking to me this past summer."

Your mother and sister came with you on the trip. Obviously, what your mother thinks about Mississippi State and the coaches is important since you are her son and she only wants what is best for you. What did she think about Mississippi State?
"I know she was a little skeptical about it to begin with but once she got to Mississippi State and saw the family aspect of it and how much the community is involved with the team and the school she was more comfortable with it. It was like I was going from one family to another family It's not like I'm just going to college by myself. She liked that. And she liked the academic excellence at Mississippi State. I didn't know how good the school was and how many academic honors they have on the baseball team."

Have you unofficially visited any of the other schools that are recruiting you?
"Yeah, I have visited all of them."

Are you going to visit any other schools other than the four that are recruiting you?
"I'm not going to visit any others. I started talking to the University of Florida but I don't want to pursue that. Mississippi State is the last place that I want to visit."

How you decided a timeframe on when you will commit?
"I think it will be before the end of this month."
