  • Classification: 2017
  • High School: New Hope (MS) High School
  • Position: Point Guard/Shooting Guard
  • HT: WT: 6-foot-4, 205

  • Although just a sophomore in high school, Thomas has already received a scholarship offer.

"I received an offer from Southern Miss last week," said Thomas. "My AAU coach, Omhar Carter, told me that I had received it."

He is also receiving interest from several other schools.

"Virginia is showing me interest, and Mississippi State and Ole Miss are, too," said Thomas. "Coach Carter called me in August and told me that schools had started looking at me. He said they had called him and asked about me."

Coach Carter told him what college coaches like about him.

"He said they told him that they like my energy and my high motor, my athleticism and the way that I can rebound and push the ball up the floor and find my teammates," said Thomas.

Thomas has started unofficially visiting schools. His first visit was to Mississippi State.

"I was at the Mississippi State-Utah State game," said Thomas. "My Auntie and I had to leave at halftime, though. That was my first time as a visitor but I have been to one of their games before."

He liked what he saw both on offense and defense.

"I really like their style of play," said Thomas. "They get out there on defense and also push the ball (on offense). That is my style of play, getting out there and running."

His next visit will likely be to Memphis.

"My dad and I have talked about going to the University of Memphis on December 18th," said Thomas.
