Moon Entertains Future Coaches

Offensive lineman Harrison Moon committed to Mississippi State nearly six months ago. In the that time, Moon has grown comfortable with the idea of a future in Starkville. The Signal Mountain, Tennessee standout believes the Bulldogs are headed in the right direction and that a future in Maroon will be a bright one.

"Coach (Billy) Gonzales and Coach (Dan) Mullen came by and we had a great visit. It was awesome," said Moon. "I played pool with Coach Gonzales before dinner and Coach Mullen played some pinball. I just enjoyed having them there.

"Coach Gonzales and I are both pretty bad, so we didn't even finish the game. Dinner was ready, so we just called it a draw."

The serious talk was not about billiards, but about pigksins.

"We talked a lot about the future," said Moon. "We talked about taking my official visit and about the direction of the team and things like that. They told me that they expect me work hard to be ready for next year.

"I am going to be taking my visit on January 23rd. I believe Nick (Tiano) is coming in that weekend too. I am looking forward to all of that."

Moon reports that he is eager to be around the team, because he expects some big things from the Bulldogs going forward.

"I know everybody is going to be working hard down there and I am going to be as well," said Moon. "I know we're going to be missing a couple of key players, but we have a lot of good guys coming back.

"I expect next year to be another big year like this one was. I feel like Mississippi State football is about to be on top for a while."
