"I just want to make my dad proud. And he also made (the Mississippi all-star) team," said Joseph. "Me following in his same footsteps, playing at the same high school, committing to the same college he played at and playing in this all-star game like he did, representing our state, it's a big deal to me. I'm really enjoying everything that is going on."
He thinks this Mississippi squad has a chance to pull off the win over the Alabama team.
"I know Alabama has some great talent on their team but this is a very talented team (too)," said Joseph. "We are out here in a fun atmosphere, getting after it because we want to beat Alabama."
Joseph is one of eight future Bulldogs on the Mississippi squad. He's enjoying his time being around his future teammates.
"I know most of the guys from going to camps and going to Mississippi State games," he said. "I'm enjoying their company."
He's trying to get a couple of players on the team to switch their commitments to Mississippi State.
"I'm trying to get (Ole Miss commitments) Javon Patterson and Leo Lewis to switch over," said Joseph, who is officially visiting Mississippi State the weekend of January 16th. "They listen to me sometimes and sometimes give me a little feedback."
Joseph is still being recruited himself, despite his Mississippi State commitment.
"Louisville and (Louisiana) Lafayette are still hitting me up but my commitment to Mississippi State is pretty solid," said Joseph.
