Team Mississippi: Fletcher Adams

Brandon (MS) High School defensive lineman Fletcher Adams is enjoying spending time with several of his future Mississippi State teammates while participating in Team Mississippi all-star practices.

  • Name: Fletcher Adams
  • Classification: 2015
  • High School: Brandon (MS) High School
  • Position: Defensive Lineman
  • HT: 6-2, WT: 260
  • Scout.com Ranking: 4-Star
  • Schools of Interest: Committed to Mississippi State

  • "We have been having a good bond together learning what it will be like in college," said Adams. "(MSU cornerback commitment) Chris Stamps is a clown. All he does is laugh. We are also trying to get some of these other guys onboard."

Being selected to the Mississippi team is a great honor for the 4-star defensive lineman.

"It is big for me to represent Mississippi," said Adams. "I want to help my team get the win (over Alabama) this Saturday."

Once the game is over this weekend, Adams will focus his attention to his future team, Mississippi State.

"I haven't set up my official visit (to Mississippi State) yet," said Adams. "I might go up there on the 16th of January but I'm not sure yet."

As you would expect from a player who is ranked the 18th best defensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com, several schools are still recruiting him.

"Ole Miss is still talking to me, and Florida was but they have a whole new coaching staff," said Adams. "But my commitment is pretty solid right now."
