"I had a really good time on my visit," Jones explained. "It was good to be around all of the coaches and all of the players. We got to see everything, tour the facilities, go to the basketball game and just hang out with the players and do what they do."
One Bulldog player in particular, Jesse Jackson, was there to answer any questions Jones had and to ensure the star prospect enjoyed his time on campus.
"Jesse is a really cool guy," Jones explained. "You can tell he loves it up there and that he loves to play. He told about everything and he talked to me about what all they do during the week and how much time they spend together working to get ready for the season."
Jones was also able to get some insight about his future in Starkville once he enrolls as a Bulldog.
"Coach (Dan) Mullen talked to me about how they are going to use me," Jones shared. "I have outgrown the wide receiver position, so they want to play me at tight end. They feel like I can use my size and speed to create mismatches. I am excited about it."
With eight current Mississippi State pledges on campus for the weekend, one would expect the four visitors still considering their options would get a healthy dose of Bulldog talk.
"I talked a lot with T.D. Moton," Jones said. "He used to be committed to Mississippi State, but then he flipped over to Alabama. We're trying to get him to flip back now and join us. I think he might, we will just have to see how things go."
