"My visit went great," Washington said. "Gerri Green was there to show me a round. He and I already have some history, so it was good to be around him for the weekend. He told me a lot and he took me a few places."
Washington reports that he had a positive feeling about everything that went on during the weekend.
"We went out to Coach Mullen's house and we got to see everything, while we were there," Washington shared. "I liked everything we did. It was all really good. The best thing though, was when we got to go out with the players after we had dinner with our parents.
"The most fun we had all weekend was when we got to spend time with the players.
"One of the main things I wanted to see during the visit is if I could find some people on the team that I could trust. I feel like I did that and I liked everybody on the team."
Over the course of the weekend, Washington was able to spend some time getting to know new Bulldog defensive boss Manny Diaz.
"Coach Diaz seems like he is going to be a great coach," said Washington. "He talked about how he likes to play defense. He showed me a bunch of stats about how in his defense they get more turnovers, tackles for loss and sacks.
"He told me that he likes how long I was, how fast I was and how good I was at rushing the passer. He said that is what he is looking for in his linebackers and he feels like I would be a good fit."
Signing day is just over two weeks ago and it appears that the Bulldogs are almost able to breath a huge sigh of relief when it comes to Washington's college future.
"I am still committed to Mississippi State and I had a good time on the visit," said Washington. "I am not taking anymore trips. This visit is the one I plan on taking."
