MSU GAMEDAY returns for its second season covering the gridiron Dawgs on MSU's flagship station, WFCA-107.9 FM, out of French Camp. Aaron Sones and Jason Crowder will once again be behind the mic as the only source for pregame and postgame information outside of the MSU Radio Network.

GAMEDAY has expanded to better cover MSU and the Southeastern Conference. The one-hour show will feature 15 minutes of Southeastern Conference coverage, with an SEC Game of the Week segment, along with an SEC round-up, and a look at other games around the conference. Regional radio personalities such as Scott McKinney of Conference Call will make an appearance on the show each week during this segment. Radio play-by-play announcers Jim Hawthorne (LSU), Bob Kesling (Tennessee) and Eli Gold (Alabama) have already committed to making appearances on the program, and several others are expected to commit soon.

Steve Ellis, color commentator for the MSU Radio Network, will contribute once again this season with the Offensive Gameplan (interview with OC Sparky Woods), Defensive Gameplan (Interview with DL Coach John Hendricks), Opposing Coach interview, and an interview with a selected MSU player.

Sones and Crowder will interview two special guests live, as well as a member of the opposing team's media or broadcast team. There is also a segment where fans are encouraged to ask questions or offer opinions about the game.

Gameday will be a one hour broadcast beginning two hours before kickoff of every game. At home, the show will be broadcasted from the Bulldog Club buffet at the Bost Extension Center, behind the west stands of Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. Road locations are yet to be determined. Four postgame editions of GAMEDAY are set: after home games versus BYU, Troy State, LSU and Kentucky. WFCA, a 100,000-watt station, can be heard as far south as Jackson, to Tuscaloosa in the east, Tupelo to the north, and into the Delta. Internet listeners can log on at, or click on the WFCA icon on Gene's Page message board.
