Moon Back Home After Visit

Harrison Moon committed to Mississippi State during the summer and maintained his allegiance to the Bulldogs throughout the recruiting process. Moon has taken a few one day trips to Starkville since making his pledge, but this weekend he got the Big Maroon Tour as part of his official visit.

"I had a great visit," Moon said. "Nick (Tiano) drove ourselves down there, so we could see what it was like. We had a great time and I wish we could have stayed in Starkville."

Moon was hosted by Mississippi State offensive tackle Jake Thomas.

"Jake is awesome," Moon exclaimed. "He is a great guy. He jokes around a lot and he's really funny. We had a great time. Friday night was pretty good, but Saturday night was amazing. We met up with some of the other players. Jake lives with De'Runnya Wilson and Shelby Christy, so we were with all of them and Nick Fitzgerald. We had so much fun."

Before heading for home, Moon was able to speak with Coach Dan Mullen and offensive line boss John Hevesy.

"Both of them told me that I better be ready to work," Moon said. "They told me that they want me to work harder than I ever have this off season, so I can be ready to play when I get up there. They want me running and lifting and getting myself in shape to help the team."

Penn State had offered Moon a scholarship recently and talked with him about potentially visiting Happy Valley next weekend. Those plans have been canceled.

"I am 100% committed to Mississippi State," Moon said. "I am not interested in anybody else. I am just ready to put some Maroon and White on. Me and Nick were talking on the way home about everything and we just wanted to turn around and go back to Starkville. I just can't wait to go back and be a Bulldog."
