Johnson Prepared for Wednesday Inking

This time last year, Hoover High standout Justin Johnson was leaning towards Mississippi State. Now a calendar year later, the talented wideout is preparing to make his decision to be a Bulldog official. With signing day just hours away, Johnson is headed where he hoped to be all along.

Johnson and his family recently took their official visit to Starkville to see the campus one final time before national signing day.

"My parents and my brother came with me," Johnson shared. "They loved it as much as I did."

Johnson was able to reconnect with another Alabama native who made the decision to cross the state lines and pursue a college football future at Mississippi State.

"Dez Harris was my host," Johnson said. "He is a cool guy. I have had a relationship with him in the past."

The group had the chance to see the sites and sounds of Mississippi State and enjoy all things maroon and white, but Johnson enjoyed a couple of activities more than others.

"My favorite part of the visit was the photo shoot," Johnson shared. "I enjoyed getting to hang out with some of the players. This was really one of the first times I have been outside of the stadium.

"I really didn't learn anything new during the trip. I just found out that they way things are run around there."

Johnson is an important member of Mississippi State's 2015 signing class and will share his signing with friends and family at Hoover High School in National Signing day later this week.
